gaye has been practising her art work since the late 20th century - the mid 1990's to be specific. the route to becoming an artist was rich though circuitous. food was the first creative passion and she still has a good knowledge of food and it's impact on her work.

this intimate association with food - a consumate 3d medium has contributed positively to her sculpture. life's passion's are all consuming and happiness eminates from working in the studio creating work.

gaye's painted images are most commonly figurative and portraiture though other vistas and images creep in from time to time. capturing an essence of a personality and emotions is paramount though not conscious when in the zone of executing a painting. mixing colours that entice and impact the viewer is a key aspect of her painting.

sculpture is a vista of great scope. gaye brings contemporary symbolism and forms to her
indoor and outdoor sculptures. materials vary though perspex / acrylic with its seductive reflective properties feature. her sculpture is generally easily 'read' but there are layers to be revealed by some contemplation and or conversation by the individual viewer.
